Paris for kids
There's lots of things to do with kids in Paris.
Here's our list of activities:
Visit the Louvre
Take the kids to see the Mona Lisa, and then the Egyptian mummies
exhibition.
Visit the Tuileries Garden next to the Louvre
There's a playground (probably suiting children from 4 to 8 years
old), and also some in-ground trampolines where you can pay to let your
kids jump around.
Go down to the Catacombs
A bit spooky, probably one for the older kids. Boys would probably
get a particularly big buzz from it.
Go up the Eiffel Tower
While the queues can be a bit off putting, it's worth it. Your kids
should really enjoy going up the glass lifts, and the birds-eye view
from the top.
Visit the Luxembourg Gardens
Hire some miniature wooden sailboats at the beautiful Luxembourg
Gardens and let your kids play for just 3 Euro 10 cents for an hour!
On Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 3:15pm, Wednesday 3:15pm and
school holidays, they have marionette shows at the Theatre du Luxembourg
which is also in the gardens. Costs about 3 Euro.
Bus tour of Paris
Take you kids on the various Hop-on-Hop-Off roofless double decker
buses.
Boat down the Seine
You can get some really affordable boat cruises for around only 8
Euro (adult) for about a 1 hour Seine cruise. It's great value, and the
kids will get a kick out of it.
Buy a Nutella crepe
There are lots of crepe stands around tourist areas, and popular
eating spots. Hot nutella crepes are only about 2 Euro 50, and they
taste great!
Bois de Bologne
Hire a row boat and tug the whole family around Lac Inferieur.
Also at the Bois de Bologne is the Jardin d'Acclimation - an
amusement park with lots of rides and activities for little ones.
Visit Disneyland and make your kids' dreams come true!
Just a train hop away in Marne-la-Vallee Chessy, you'd be best to get
at least a night's accommodation. |
